A serious traffic accident in the Monserrat neighborhood of Buenos Aires last night left two women dead and two others hospitalized in critical condition. The incident, involving two vehicles and a bicycle, occurred around 22:00 on Friday at the intersection of Belgrano and Ingeniero Huergo avenues. According to police, a van and a Citroën C3 collided in an impact so violent that the car became wedged against a tree. Emergency services confirmed the immediate death of a 24-year-old woman who was trapped in the car. 'Unfortunately, nothing could be done to revive her,' stated Alberto Crescenti. The second fatality was the cyclist, a 27-year-old woman, who was also pronounced dead after being taken to the hospital. Two other people, a man and a woman, were also transferred to the Argerich Hospital with multiple injuries. The Prosecutor's Office has ordered investigations to determine the exact causes and responsibilities.
